About Dr. Carroll James

I Swear to Tell the Tooth was Dr. James's literary debut.  Book two, The Whole Tooth, was released in March 2016.  And Nothing But the Tooth completes the trilogy and is now available. An editor dubbed this work "a  delightfully funny and sometimes riveting memoir that reads like All Creatures Great and Small, if [the British veterinarian and author], James Herriot worked with people instead of cows and sheep." Coming in 2018, So Help Me God

Carroll received his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College and his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from Fairleigh-Dickenson University. He loves the outdoors—everything from gardening to white-water rafting. His passion during his decades in practice has been volunteering his expertise in dentistry to those less fortunate in the United States and abroad.

This beloved author was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer May 30, 2018. His brave, three week painful battle ended June 23, 2018 when he took his final breath. Surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren, though heartbroken, they were assured at the moment he was absent from his body and in the presence of the Lord, he heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
